Okay! I made it!
We had google instructions, but for some insane reason I decided that we should throw them in the back seat after getting onto a familiar route.
In the hours that followed we were never really lost. I was just incapable of taking the correct exit.
Sarah has been blessed by the god of infinite patience and good humor.
